Nucleus Sound Processor Portfolio: Small, Smart and Simple
Whether a patient prefers a device that sits off-the-ear such as the Nucleus® Kanso® 2 Sound Processor, or one that sits behind-the-ear, like the Nucleus® 7 Sound Processor, they will find a Cochlear™ processor to suit them.
Connect without compromise
Stream calls, music and entertainment directly from a compatible Apple® or Android™ device.~ Adjust device settings, access personalized information and get help locating a misplaced sound processor with the Nucleus Smart App.~
Take control at work or school
With Cochlear True Wireless™ accessories patients can hear more clearly in challenging situations by streaming sound directly to their sound processor.1 With an extended range and portability, the Mini Microphone 2+ has the flexibility to provide recipients better hearing in the classroom or at the workplace. The Mini Microphone 2+ also has a line-in direct audio input that allows recipients to stream wirelessly from portable technology, such as a laptop, with a 3.5 mm audio port to a Nucleus Sound Processor.
Focus on what matters
With two microphones, built in SmartSound® iQ with SCAN* technology, and ForwardFocus**, our sound processors help a patient hear their best wherever they go.2-3
Monitor and track hearing progress
Access to personal listening data that helps a patient meet listening goals with Hearing Tracker, available in the Nucleus Smart App. For those who are not able to reliably report sound quality changes, you can monitor the microphone input to ensure they’re accessing sounds.†
Wherever life takes them
Built to withstand dust, dirt, sand and water, both the Nucleus Kanso 2 and Nucleus 7 sound processors are designed for adventures. With an Aqua+ accessory, the sound processors are waterproof.#
Wear with confidence
For extra reassurance, optional wearing accessories are available, including headbands, safety lines and earhooks, to suit an active lifestyle.
Stream to both ears
Bimodal users report improved speech understanding5-8 and perception of music9, and a more natural hearing experience4, compared with using a cochlear implant or hearing aid alone. In a study, after 6 months of use, 95% were satisfied with overall hearing performance using HA + CI (bimodal condition) compared to 9% in the pre-op condition with bilateral hearing aids.10 With our smart bimodal hearing solution, patients can stream directly from a compatible smartphone to your ReSound hearing aid and sound processor.^

* It is recommended that SNR-NR, WNR and SCAN be made available to any recipient, ages 6 and older, who is able to 1) complete objective speech perception testing in quiet and noise in order to demonstrate and document performance and 2) report a preference for different program settings.
** ForwardFocus can only be enabled by a hearing implant specialist. It should only be activated for users 12 years and older who are able to reliably provide feedback on sound quality and under-stand how to use the feature when moving to different or changing environments.
