Booray's mother couldn't face the fact that her son failed his hearing test at birth, and again at age one. But then she found out about Cochlear and Booray received his implant when he was 18 months old.
Now in a mainstream high school, Booray is learning English and Chinese, and his mother says he has the confidence to speak up in class.
Outside of school, Booray enjoys playing soccer with his friends. And he loves it when he hears them call his name.

In Australia, the Cochlear™ Osia® System is indicated for patients with conductive, mixed hearing loss and single-sided sensorineural deafness (SSD) aged 10 years and above with up to 55 decibels sensorineural hearing loss. Patients should have sufficient bone quality and quantity to support successful implant placement. Surgery is required to use this product. Any surgical procedure carries risk.
