It’s been nearly seven years since Muna received her cochlear implants. Her mother, Maryam, says she wanted her daughter to be able to communicate with others, play with her friends and enjoy an active life.
It wasn’t long after switch-on when Maryam says she noticed Muna’s vocabulary improve. It was during this time that Muna first said the word “Mum”.
These days Muna loves spending time in the pool with her brother and sisters. Using the Aqua+ accessory means she’s able to hear while in the water and make friends at the pool.
