"She [Lucy] realizes that some of us wear glasses and some of us don't. And some of us wear Bahas and others don't."

- Alex, Mother of Baha® recipient

Lucy is ready for kindergarten

Lucy was born without an ear canal in her right ear, otherwise known as atresia, which left her with severe hearing loss. Her mother wanted to give Lucy every chance to hear with both ears to ensure she kept up with her peers.

Lucy received her Baha® Softband at three months of age. Her mom realized that just as some people wear glasses to see, the Baha Softband allows Lucy to hear.

Thanks to Cochlear, Lucy cannot wait to start kindergarten and Alex is at ease knowing that nothing should be an obstacle for her daughter's learning.
