Diagnosing hearing loss

Understanding how hearing works and how hearing loss is diagnosed is the first step to identifying the treatment options available for your type of hearing loss.

Hearing loss can occur at any time. Maybe your hearing loss happened suddenly, or it occurred over time. Or, maybe you've always had it and learned to make do with hearing aids and reading lips. A child can be born with hearing loss or develop it later in life.

The good news is that with an accurate diagnosis and the right treatment, there is the potential to live a full life. It all starts with knowing what to look out for and understanding when and how to start looking for an audiologist who is qualified in all hearing solutions, from hearing aids to hearing implants.
