"I can go to school alone and have fun with my friends. I can hear my family. So, I can do what I love to do."

- Abi, Cochlear™ implant recipient

Diagnosed with profound hearing loss when she was one, Abi’s parents first tried giving her hearing aids. When they proved ineffective, Abi received two cochlear implants. Now 20 years old, Abi attends college where she studies fine arts and design.

Abi says she loves how sketching allows her to express herself. Because of her cochlear implants, she says she loves that she can hear all the strokes of her hand on the paper.
