The Nucleus Implant is placed just under the skin along with the electrode array, which consists of 22 active electrodes that follow the natural curve of your child's cochlea and stimulate the hearing nerve.

Every child’s cochlea is unique, so we provide a choice of implants and electrodes allowing the surgeon to choose the best one for your child’s specific needs. We offer:

Kanso™ is a new way of hearing with a Cochlear Implant.. It’s an off-the-ear hearing solution designed to be so DISCREET and comfortable you may even forget you’re wearing it.

The Kanso Sound Processor can give you an increased level of confidence to help you live your LIFE TO THE FULLEST.

Although the Kanso Sound Processor is designed to be discreet, it is also designed to provide you with OPTIMAL HEARING PERFORMANCE when high-powered hearing aids are no longer enough to help you understand and engage in conversations.

The Kanso Sound Processor includes our most advanced technologies, including dual microphones and SmartSound® iQ* with SCAN and True Wireless connectivity to help you hear your best to help you hear your best, especially in noisy environments.

*SNR-NR and WNR are approved for use with any recipient ages 6 years and older, who is able to 1) complete objective speech perception testing in quiet and in noise in order to determine and document performance 2) report a preference for different program settings. SCAN is FDA approved for use with any recipient age 6 years old and older, to be used at the discretion of the recipient/parent/caregiver.

The Nucleus 6 Sound Processor is the smallest* and smartest behind-the-ear sound processor the world has ever seen. It's very light and comfortable so you can wear it all day, every day.

Designed to help you hear your best, even in noise, the Nucleus 6 Sound Processor features our most innovative technologies, including SmartSound® iQ** with SCAN, dual microphones and our 2.4 GHz True Wireless™ connectivity.
