The Baha 5 Sound Processor uses a non-rechargeable type 312 zinc-air battery. The batteries included in the sound processor kit reflect Cochlear’s latest recommendations.

Tamper-proof battery door

To prevent the accidental opening of the battery door, an optional tamper-proof battery door is available. This is particularly useful for children.

To replace a battery door, please contact your hearing care professional.

Step-by-step:

  1. To unlock the device, carefully insert the tip of a pen in the small hole on the battery door and gently open the battery compartment.
  2. To lock the device, gently close the battery compartment until it is completely closed.

Baha Safety line

Baha 5 Sound Processor with safety line

When taking part in activities where you risk losing your sound processor we recommend using the safety line provided. Insert the line into the attachment point and fasten it to your clothing.

Note: The safety line should always be used when a Baha sound processor is worn by children.
