The Cochlear Baha® Softband is intended for patients who can benefit from a Cochlear Baha Sound Processor but who are not yet suitable for Baha surgery. Whenever the sound processor cannot be attached to an implant, the Softband can be used, for instance, when surgery is delayed. The Softband has been designed to fit comfortably around the wearer’s head and the sound processor is easily attached to the plastic snap connector on the metal spring.

There are seven new colors to choose from for the Softband; there’s even a Jungle pattern with Hippos, Monkeys, and Lions – oh my!

The Softband works in the same way as a conventional bone conductor, with the signal being weakened as it passes through the skin (attenuation). If they are used during the fixture healing process, they must not be placed on top of the abutment or implant as this might jeopardize osseointegration
