Prosthetic ears recipient - Vistafix

Be confident. Feel secure.

Confidence comes from feeling comfortable. For people who need a prosthetic ear, you want to know it will stay in place. You also want it to look natural.

If you're looking for a better way to secure a prosthetic ear for you or your child, the easy-to-use Cochlear™ Vistafix® bone-anchored prosthetic could be your answer.

With the Vistafix system you can:

  • enjoy an active lifestyle without worry

  • attach and remove your prosthesis easily

  • feel confident that your prosthesis sits securely

  • rest assured that your prosthesis blends in naturally

  • trust that it is proven, clinically tested and documented.

How it works

The Vistafix system uses small, titanium implants that bond with the bone in a process called osseointegration.

Surgeons insert these implants into the bone using minor procedures to create a permanent and stable foundation for your prosthesis.

Once the bone and the implants bond — generally after three to six months — a specialist will make and fit your prosthesis.

Your prosthesis clicks onto the implant securely, even when you're playing sports or at the gym.

Convenient, reliable and trusted

It’s important your prosthetic is comfortable enough to wear all day, and that it stays in place. More than 86% of people with a Vistafix prosthesis wear it for more than 10 hours/day.1

The Vistafix system uses the same implant technology as the Baha® system, developed and refined over 30 years and proven to remain stable for long-term use.

Can Vistafix implants help you?

The Vistafix system is an option for people looking for a prosthesis that offers a more secure attachment and a natural look.

It offers better cosmetic benefits outcomes for facial prostheses, so you or your child can regain confidence to live the way you want.
