With bilateral cochlear implants Lakshya takes on new challenges with ease, from excelling at cricket to driving the family tractor.
Lakshya was a year old when he was diagnosed with hearing loss. His family initially got him hearing aids but realized it had limited benefits. Just like any other mother, Lakshya’s mother wanted the best for her child and pinned her hopes onto getting his first Cochlear implant when he was 3. He got his second implant at the age of 9. Lakshya uses (Nucleus® 6) on one ear & Kanso® for another, enabling him to have a wireless experience. An astounding cricket player from St. Thomas school in Dwarka, Lakshya is now living a normal life.
