Advika’s parent's world came to a standstill when they learnt that their baby had bilateral profound hearing loss.
“Will she be able to go to mainstream school?” “Will the society accept her?” were some of the questions they had.
Thanks to their quick decision, they got Advika’s bilateral implants done at an early age, optimizing her chances to learn and develop like any other hearing child.
We asked the parents what their greatest joys were, and both agreed that they felt out of this world when two-year-old Advika calls them “Mumma” and “Papa”.
