At the age of three, Gayana was diagnosed with profound hearing loss. The loss of not being able to enjoy sounds naturally didn’t pull her parent’s spirits down; and they decided to get her a Cochlear™ implant during her early developing years.
Today, there is no holding her back as she can respond as well as speak. Gayana loves playing Chowkabara (traditional sports game) & Kuntebille (hopscotch) with her grandmother.
