Nucleus Introductory CI Course Nov 2012

This course wil provide the core knowledge required to practice as a CI clinician. The format will be a mixture of presentations and practical sessions with the Nucleus clinical software.

This course will provide information on:

• CI assessement, selection considerations and criteria
• The complete Nucleus Cochlear Implants system product portfolio
• Nucleus Custom Sound programming software
• The parameters to consider when programming the sound processor and the steps involved in initial and subsequent programming sessions
• Troubleshooting the external equipment
• The role of (re) habilitation at the pre-operative and post-operative stages of the CI process

This course will typically be followed by the Electrophysiologogy masterclass I where the foundations of obtaining NRT (Neural Response Telemetry)- measurements will be discussed and practiced. We would strongly recommend attending this one-day course after the introductory course.
