Graeme Clark Scholarship

At Cochlear, we take our social responsibility seriously: The Cochlear Graeme Clark Scholarship.

The Graeme Clark Cochlear Scholarship, awarded by Cochlear, helps implant users achieve more, by supporting them financially when they continue to advanced education. This unique scholarship is open to Nucleus implant recipients around the world. Scholarship winners are awarded financial assistance towards tertiary study at an accredited university, college or other institution.

Honouring the work of Professor Graeme Clark

The Foundation was established in 2002 in honour of Professor Graeme Clark to thank him for his lifelong pursuit of a solution for the hearing impaired and his work in the field of cochlear implant technology. Professor Graeme Clark is Professor of the Department of Otolaryngology at the University. It is the pioneering work of his University Department that led to the first research implant “bionic ear” being “switched on” in 1978 and the first Nucleus implant in 1982.
