This training will provide basic knowledge and skills required for CI surgery by means of a mixture of presentations and practical temporal bone sessions moderated by highly experienced European surgeons. The course offers all participants the possibility to practice drilling on real temporal bones, identified by prior delegates as a highly valued aspect of the course.

A question-and-answer session to deal with every aspect of the CI process is also part of the programme.

This course will provide information on:

  • Surgical technique: from incision to electrode insertion, to closing of the wound
  • CI assessment, selection considerations and criteria
  • The complete Nucleus Cochlear Implant system product portfolio
  • An overview of the different stages in the CI process

ENT surgeons who are new to Nucleus Cochlear Implants, who wish to learn more about CI surgery and get a better understanding of the entire CI process.
