How to find us

Cochlear’s EMEA headquarters are located in the Jacob Burckhardt House, close to the SBB train station. The Jacob Burckhardt House is located at the intersection of Nauenstrasse (Straumann; and across the street from the Lonza building), Münchensteinerstrasse and Grosspeterstrasse (Coop building).

Directions on foot

Starting point main entrance of the SBB train station. Walk on the right-hand side towards Hotel Viktoria/Mc Donald’s/post office. Use the pedestrian underpass through the Swiss post building. Cross the street in direction of the green glass building in front of you (Peter Merian House). Go up the stairs and keep walking straight ahead through the building Peter Merian House, where you will pass on your right hand side Bayer and DHL. After passing DHL go down the flight of stairs and keep walking straight ahead through the second building Jacob Burkhardt House, passing Straumann and the University until you see house number 4 (second last entry on your right hand side). We share the building with Sympany where you will see both logos displayed at the entrance, please take the lift up to the 4th floor to find the Cochlear reception.

Directions by bike

Starting point main entrance of the SBB train station. Ride on the right-hand side towards Hotel Viktoria/Mc Donald’s/post office. Use the underpass (for pedestrians and cyclists) through the Swiss post building. Cross the street in direction of the green glass building in front of you. Use again the underpass for cyclists along the railroad tracks through the building Peter Merian House and also through the second building Jacob Burkhardt House. You can park your bike in front of the second last entry on your right hand side, number 4. Please use the stairs at the end of the building (100 meters straight ahead) to get to the main entrance to house number 4. We share the building with Sympany where you will see both logos displayed at the entrance, please take the lift up to the 4th floor to find the Cochlear reception.

Directions with public transportation

  • Train to Basel SBB. Our office is located within walking distance (5 minutes). Follow directions “On foot” above.
  • Tram no. 10 or 11, tram stop “Peter Merian”. Use the pedestrian underpass through the Jacob Burkhardt House until you see house number 4 (second last entry on your right hand side). We share the building with Sympany where you will see both logos displayed at the entrance, please take the lift up to the 4th floor to find the Cochlear reception.

Directions by car

From the highway: Exit Basel-Süd. Follow sign “Basel West/SBB” and then “Postbahnhof”. Cross the Nauenstrasse and enter the garage into Jacob Burckhardt House on the left side, level -1 (1. UG).

We recommend to use the parking at the SBB train station and Swiss Post. Our office is within walking distance (5 minutes). Follow "Directions on foot” above.
