Meet Kelcie Hauf

When your'e a first grader, being just like other kids feels like the most important thing in the world. For Kelci Hauf, who was born with auditory neuropathy, you would think that fitting in wouldnt be easy. But Kelci has no problem at all, thanks to her cochlear implant.

I just put on my 3G BTE when I wake up, and go to school just like all of the other kids, says Kelci.

Kelci was 2 1/2 years old when she received a cochlear implant. Five years later, shes a typical 7-year-old. She loves to read, do gymnastics and talk on the phone  particularly to her grandmother. Music is also a big part of her life. As Kelci says, I love to listen to music, especially Hilary Duff and Jessica Simpson. And I do love the Signing Time music CD too!

If her good nature and cheerful attitude serve as gauge, then Kelcis cochlear implant is doing wonders in helping her to be just like other kids. I love my cochlear implant. I am so thankful for it! shouts Kelci.
