Extraordinary hearing and speech performance, clinically proven

Global validation trials2,3 involving both Nucleus® 22 and Nucleus 24 recipients shows that, on average, recipients achieve superior performance with the Freedom speech processor when compared with their previous speech processor.

Speech processor comparison

By comparing a standard Freedom MAP to the recipient’s former speech processor MAP, indications are that recipients may:

  • Hear soft and distant speech more easily
  • Hear in noisy environments more easily

The graph below shows that when Nucleus 22 recipients were tested with speech levels at 50 dB (soft to quiet conversational speech), they showed an average 17.4% improvement over their previous results.
